Description
On a gimbal every gram counts, and the Sony BP-U35 exists for exactly that: it's the most compact genuine battery in the BP-U series, designed for the FX6, FX9 and FS7 when the bulk of a U70 or U100 would only be dead weight. At 35Wh it covers short sessions — moving shots, gimbal inserts, slimmed-down shoulder setups — while keeping the rig's centre of gravity more contained.
Being a genuine battery, it talks to the camera: the remaining runtime appears directly in the viewfinder, in real minutes rather than rough bars. That's the practical edge that sets it apart from cheap third-party cells.
For rental we treat it as an add-on module to our FX6 kits: we recommend two or three BP-U35s in rotation for gimbal work and a larger size for static shots. It travels with the rest of the camera package, even to locations in Abruzzo.
