Description
A scratched front element on a cine lens means weeks out of service and a hefty deductible. The NiSi Pure Clear 4x5.65 exists for exactly that: optically neutral glass to keep in the front stage of the matte box as fixed protection against sand, dust, splashes and sparks — the kind of thing you get on effects scenes, kitchens, engines or beach shoots.
Unlike any old piece of glass, the Pure Clear is built to sit in front of high-resolution lenses: high transmittance, no color cast, an anti-reflective coating that introduces no unwanted flare. In practice you forget it's there, until it does its job.
We're happy to add it to every camera rental with a 4x5.65 matte box: at €10 a day it's the cheapest insurance on the list. Always on the shelf in our Abruzzo warehouse, alongside the rest of the filter package.
