Description
There are shots where the light has to sit exactly over the table, past the set dressing or directly above the subject: a stand can't reach there, a boom can. The Manfrotto Mega Boom 425B is a two-section telescopic boom with crank controls for pan, tilt and extension: once it's up in the air, you adjust everything from the ground without taking anything apart.
The extension runs from about 2.1 to 3.6 meters, and the dual Baby 16 mm / Junior 28 mm mount accepts practically any fixture. Capacity goes from 30 kg with the arm retracted to 6 kg at full extension, so the load always has to be worked out together with the counterweight (bag included, to be filled on location).
Mind the base: its 15 kg plus the light demand a serious stand. In our rentals we pair it by default with the Kupo 483BT or the Avenger Combo, with delivery straight to set anywhere in Abruzzo.
