Description
The second generation of Nanlite's 500 bicolor: the Forza 500B II steps up to 580W and reaches 67,320 lux at one meter with the reflector, in a 4.3 kg head that one crew member can move alone. Adjustable CCT from 2,700 to 6,500 K lets you go from a tungsten interior to matching daylight without touching a gel.
Compared with the first series, heat dissipation and quiet running are both improved — a detail you appreciate on sync-sound shoots. CRI 96 and TLCI 97 keep faces clean; control runs over Bluetooth with the NANLINK app, 2.4G, or DMX/RDM for more structured sets.
It's one of the pieces that leaves our rental most often for corporate interviews and documentaries around Abruzzo: with a Bowens softbox in front it becomes a soft key ready in five minutes, and on request we add Fresnels and stands.
