Description
The Proaim Powermatic Scissor 17ft is a telescoping pantograph crane: the arm extends and retracts up to 5.2 metres while the camera is rolling, driven by a remote controller with adjustable speed and damping. In practice it brings Technocrane-style moves to the set — push-ins on dialogue, retractions combined with a pan, high descents that settle at eye level — at a fraction of the cost of a big-production arm.
We recommend it for music videos, commercials and narrative scenes where the movement has to follow the subject seamlessly: with a remote head or a 3-axis gimbal mounted at the tip it handles camera setups up to 15 kg, and the CNC-machined aluminium structure breaks down into sections that travel in a standard van.
For rentals we deliver and set it up directly on set in Abruzzo; on request we add counterweights, a remote head and one of our support technicians for the shooting day.
