Description
Anyone shooting REDCODE RAW knows media aren't a detail: the RED Mini-Mag 480GB is the proprietary SSD media of RED cameras and delivers the data rates needed to record at low compressions with no dropped frames. The 480 GB capacity gives a good margin even on busy days: depending on resolution and compression, that's several hours of footage before offload.
On DSMC2 bodies it also supports simultaneous R3D + ProRes recording, handy when post wants an editable proxy right away. We recommend it as an additional mag alongside our RED cameras: two media in rotation let the DIT offload while the set keeps rolling.
Rental of the Mini-Mag is 50 euros per day; we deliver it formatted and tested, including directly on set in Abruzzo along with the rest of the camera package.
