Description

The right ambient sound is captured only once, and you need the recorder rolling at the right moment. The Tascam audio recorder in our inventory covers live sound, effects and a backup of the camera track: built-in stereo mics for ambiences, plus inputs to connect a shotgun or a lavalier when you switch to dialogue.

It records WAV files to an SD card, so handing over the audio rushes is immediate: copy the card and move to post with no conversions. The headphone output lets the sound recordist — or the one-person videomaker doing it all — monitor in real time, while AA battery power removes any dependence on external supplies.
