Description
Every cine lens has a minimum focus distance it won't go below, and on tight details — hands, objects, textures — that becomes a real constraint. The Lindsey Optics +1/+2 Close-Up Diopter Set solves it right at the matte box: two supplementary lenses on a 4x5.65 tray that pull the focal plane closer without swapping lenses.
The Brilliant² series lenses use 138 mm circular glass with broadband multi-coating: usable aperture stays wide even on shorter focal lengths, and the loss in quality is minimal. The +1 takes a single matte box slot, the +2 takes two; with a three-stage matte box you can even stack them to reach +3.
We recommend them for macro inserts, product shots and detail work in narrative. Rental is €50 a day, with on-set delivery across Abruzzo alongside the rest of the camera package.
