Description
There's a reason the Soft/FX remains a reference for beauty and portrait work: instead of diffusing the whole image, the lenticular micro-elements in the glass soften wrinkles and skin imperfections while leaving eyes and lashes noticeably sharp. The result doesn't shout "filter": the face simply looks more rested.
The Tiffen Soft/FX Filter Set we supply on rental includes the 1/2 and 1 grades. The former is ideal on 4K close-ups, where you only need to tame skin texture; the 1 is stronger and works on interviews, commercials and situations where the subject needs flattering without long sessions in makeup.
We recommend it paired with an ND IR, so you can manage exposure without stripping down the matte box. On-set delivery included for productions in Abruzzo.
