Description
With the Snorricam the perspective flips: the camera is locked to the actor's body via a chest harness, so the face stays pinned at the centre of the frame while the world around them slides, sways or plummets. It's the effect made famous by films like Requiem for a Dream, perfect for sequences of panic, intoxication, chases and music videos.
Our Snorricam POV rig has an adjustable harness and an articulated arm that lets you fine-tune the camera's distance and tilt relative to the face. It performs best with lightweight bodies — a mirrorless with a fast wide-angle lens — and with focus pulled remotely: that's why we suggest pairing the rental with a wireless follow focus and a dedicated monitor for the focus puller.
A few hours of rehearsal are enough to get comfortable with the movement; if you're shooting in Abruzzo we bring it straight to location along with the rest of the camera package.
