Description
A focus puller needs a radio system that won't let them down, and the Tilta Nucleus-M II Follow Focus Wireless is currently among the best for performance per euro. The FIZ hand unit controls up to four motors — focus, iris, zoom and motorized ND — with a radio range up to around 450 metres and near-instant response (0.02 seconds with the PID 2.0 algorithm): the motor tracks the ring with no perceptible lag, even on the fastest pulls.
The high-torque motors auto-calibrate to the lens end stops and work on standard 0.8 MOD gears, with brackets for 15mm and 19mm rods; powering the hand unit with NP-F batteries keeps the logistics simple. On a gimbal, dolly or car mount it's a sure bet.
