Description
The Blackmagic URSA Cine 12K puts large format and VFX-plate resolution at a rental price that until recently barely covered a Super 35. The 36x24 mm RGBW sensor captures 12K with 16 stops of dynamic range: reframing, stabilizing or making digital pans in post without losing anything in a 4K delivery becomes routine.
It's a camera built for the real set: internal 2, 4 and 6-stop ND, an interchangeable PL, LPL or EF mount, and an 8 TB internal Media Module that takes the media anxiety out of long shooting days. Blackmagic RAW keeps files manageable despite the extreme resolution.
We recommend it for commercials with heavy post production, VFX plates and landscape work, and Abruzzo's vistas in 12K genuinely reward the trip. Alternatively it works beautifully as a single camera on productions that want crop room on every shot.
