Shooting outdoors at midday defeats most monitors: our 7" SDI/HDMI reference monitor at 2200 nits isn't one of them. The brightness, more than double that of a standard panel, lets you judge focus and exposure in full sun without a hood, while LUT support means you can work with a preview of the final look even when recording in log.

Dual SDI and HDMI connectivity makes it versatile: on-camera on a cinema camera with SDI output, alongside a mirrorless, or in the focus puller's hands hooked up to a wireless receiver. Seven inches remains the best compromise between readability and footprint on the rig.

In the rental fleet it's among the monitors that go out most often in the summer months, when Abruzzo sets move between coast and mountains and direct light shows no mercy.
