Description
True blacks only exist on OLED, and the SmallHD 7.7" OLED is made for exactly this: judging contrast, shadows and colour with a fidelity that traditional LCD panels can't match. Its 10,000:1 contrast and gamut beyond 100% NTSC make it a screen for critical image evaluation.
We'll be honest as a rental house: at 250 nits it's not the monitor for full sun. Its habitat is interiors, the DIT tent and directing in controlled light, where the scratch-resistant Gorilla Glass and the exposure tools — false colour, focus assist, framing guides — do the rest. The input complement covers SDI, HDMI and analogue, with an SDI output to pass the signal on.
At a modest rental price it adds an extra edge to image evaluation; for sun-drenched Abruzzo exteriors we'd suggest a high-bright like the Cine 7 instead.
