Description
Shooting true 2x anamorphic, with oval bokeh and horizontal flares, without the price tag of the vintage anamorphics: that's the promise of the DZOFilm Pavo 2x Anamorphic Kit, six focal lengths from 28 to 100mm, all at T2.1. The 2x squeeze on a Super35 sensor delivers the native 2.39:1 ratio and that wide-yet-intimate perspective spherical widescreen can't replicate.
Well-controlled distortion and reduced minimum focus distances make the Pavo more manageable than many vintage anamorphics, even handheld or on a gimbal. The PL mount converts to EF with the included bayonet; the blue coating accentuates the flares, while the neutral coating keeps them more subtle.
We recommend them for music videos, commercials and narrative on ALEXA 35, RED or VENICE in Super35 mode. The set rents for €300/day; for shoots in Abruzzo we handle delivery ourselves, with a dedicated flight case.
