Description
The character of Carl Zeiss Jena glass — softness on skin, warm flares, gentle contrast — finally paired with true cine mechanics. The IronGlass Zeiss Jena Kit covers six focal lengths (20, 28, 35, 50, 85 and 120mm) with full rehousing: PL mount, 0.8-pitch focus and iris gears, legible scales and consistent focus throw across the set.
Compared with the Soviet MKII set, the Jena rendering is more composed: less swirl, more delicacy. That's why we often suggest it for portraiture, fashion films and period narrative, where you need a vintage look that's believable yet controlled. Full-frame coverage makes it compatible with the most common large-format cameras.
Rental is €350/day; on request we'll pair it with a PL camera body from our inventory and bring it straight to set, anywhere in Abruzzo. We recommend a test at our facility before the shoot to pick the key focal lengths for your shooting schedule.
