Description
With the L VCM series, Canon has finally given RF filmmakers a consistent prime lineup: an f/1.4 aperture across every focal length, near-identical dimensions and shared 67mm filters, so swapping lenses means neither rebalancing the gimbal nor changing the ND. The Canon RF f/1.4 L VCM prime set covers from wide angle to 85mm.
Autofocus, handled by the Voice Coil Motor with Nano USM, is smooth and silent while rolling, the aperture ring is de-clickable and focus breathing is kept to a minimum: details you appreciate especially on RF cine cameras like the C70, C400 and R5 C. Each lens weighs around half a kilo, so the set stays manageable even handheld.
